I know these are a few months late but for Spring Break this year we went to San Diego to visit Jared's brother Jacob and to get away from our crazy lives back home in Cedar City. The first day we were there we went to the San Diego wild animal park which is like a branch off the zoo with mostly african animals.
Me and Jared waiting in the car for Jacob so we can go to the zoo!:)
They were walking a cheetah through the park on a leash next to a dog! You don't see that every day!
Mom and baby rhino. Aw!!! they were so cute!
Mom and baby zebra! this baby was born less than 24 hours ago. I could not believe we got to see a baby zebra that young!
Of course Baby giraffe's and some cool birds:)
A very rare rhino that has double horns and has to get one of them trimmed by the vet because the top one puts too much weight on the bottom one.
Mom and baby zebra again:) this is a litte better picture than the one before.
These big fellas were used anchiently in competitions to see who could raise the bull with the biggest horns.
And then I am not going to explain alot of the other animals but I will put pictures of them cause they are fun to look at:)
And then there was the warthog that they had trained to sit and do all sorts of tricks!!1 Hakuna Matata
And then last but not least at the zoo, we got to see my favorite animal EVER! ELEPHANTS!!! they were so fun to watch and had the cutest little babies that love to play. I could have stood there and watched them for hours and hours and hours!!!!!
This big guy was so fun to watch spray water on himself. I have never seen an elephant really do that!
Here is my favorite tiny little baby elephant. He was way smaller than all the other baby elephants and was so cute and fun to watch:)
This last one the little baby started running towards this big one spraying himself off with water and he scared the little baby back to his mommy. I LOVE elephants:)!!!
And then to end our day at the San Diego Zoo I made Jared pretend he was a bat:) hahahaha

We Are Engaged!
All of you all probably already know but we are engaged and are getting married on July 15, 2011!!!! and then leaving the country to go on our honeymoon to CANCUN!!! I am counting down the days! 112 more to go! YAY!!
So here is the story of how Jared proposed and how unromantic I made the moment :) ha ha ha
On January 7th 2011 I was working at the hospital and Jared's car was broken or something so we were sharing mine at the time and so he had to come get me from work. When I called him and told him I was ready he told me he had run out of gas and that he would be a little while so I just sat there patiently completely believing that he ran out of gas cause my ghetto car does that frequently! So he came and got me and we went to my house and when I walked in there were candles all over the living room and kitchen and some beautiful pink roses on the counter.
I thought Jared was just being cute so I started hugging and kissing him and he kept like trying to push me away and I could not figure out why and then he got down on one knee and the first words out of my mouth were "Jared if you think this is a joke, I don't think it;s very funny!" so then he just kept talking and I don't remember exactly what he said but it was sooooooo........... cute:) and then he pulled out the ring and I started crying and he asked me to marry him and I said YES!!! I was honestly so surprised I was not expecting it to happen anytime soon.
This is my absolutely beautiful ring! I love it so much:)
After he proposed we went to dinner with our friends Bridget and Travis Larson for Bridget's birthday. We went to Milt's steakhouse and there was some nice bucks eating right outside the window of where we were eating.
I can't wait to be married to my best friend!!!

Christmas 2010
This are our way cute stockings that I had one of my friends make for us, I love them so much they are way better than anything that we could have bought at a store!
When I was first starting to put up decorations Daija was not too thrilled about the new additions to the house. If anything is out of place she will sit and bark and bark at it. It makes us laugh so hard! This is a video of her attacking my garland.
I was not even going to put up a tree this year because I was moving but we were at Walgreens one night and they were having this blowout sale on a 6ft fake tree that was normally $40 and it was on sale for $8. Of course I couldn't turn that down so my cute little tree has nothing but lights on it this year.
I know you all think I am crazy but our puppies are like my kids so they of course had to get pajamas for Christmas and they looked to stinkin' cute! We thought they would go crazy opening presents because they shred every other piece of paper they can find but they we really not that interested. But we had a really good time and loved watching them be their cute little selves.
Merry Christmas Everyone! We love and miss you all!

Thanksgiving
Since Jared and I did not get to spend Thanksgiving together we cooked a little dinner of our own the Sunday after so we could have a Thanksgiving dinner together. When I bought my new TV a couple of weeks ago they gave us a coupon for a free turkey so there was no better reason to cook dinner. This was only the second turkey I have ever cooked so of course we had to take a picture of me trying to get the gross stuff from the middle.
This is our table set right before we ate. And yes the turkey is missing cause it was taking FOREVER to cook and we were to hungry to wait so we ate everything else and then the turkey later.
After we had taken the turkey out and were carving it some of the juice had started dripping down the front of the dishwasher and we didn't notice until Daija and Jazelle would not stop licking the front of it. But of course cause we think they are so cute we could not stop them we just had to take a bunch of pictures and record a video.

Latest Happenings
So this past little while has been crazy busy so I have not really had any time to take any pictures or update the blog. But we both have been working on finishing our finals and doing everything to finish this semester of school. I have FINALLY taken all of my finals and I have 2 more clinicals that I have to make up this next week because I got sick. Jared did his practical finals on Thursday night and did really well and then he just has a written final to take on Tuesday and then he is done. I have mailed in my application to take my LPN test and I get to schedule a test date on Friday Dec. 17. I am so excited!!!!On my way to my clinicals the other morning I have to leave Cedar at 0445 in the morning so I got in my car and had barely drivin' down the street from my house and a heard of deer were running across the road. I could not believe that there were deer in the middle of town! It kind of woke me up for the morning.
